Carol Starling

Administrative Assistant

Carol Starling came to the Foundation as an Administrative Assistant in February 2006. A native of California, she graduated from California Baptist College in 1968 and began working as an elementary school teacher.  Feeling a call to ministry, she left California to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, graduating in 1977 with a Master's of Religious Education degree.  She has spent more than 20 years serving in churches in North Carolina and Virginia, giving her many opportunities to use both her educational and seminary training to assist ministerial and lay leaders.  She is married to Glenn, a former employee of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the Virginia Baptist Mission Board, and who is currently an ESL teacher with the Central Carolina Community College system.  Carol and Glenn live in Fuquay-Varina, and are actively involved in Crossroads Church in Lillington.  Their daughter, son-in-law and new granddaughter live in Honduras.
