David Webb

Western Area Manager/Development and Trustor Services

Reverend Webb is the Western Area Manager for the North Carolina Baptist Foundation where he advises 34 associations and approximately 1400 plus churches in the areas of church fund management, estate planning for individuals and the creation of endowments and trusts for families, churches, associations, and other Baptist missions and institutions in North Carolina.

Prior to joining the Foundation, David served his alma mater, Gardner-Webb University, as Director of Major Gifts and Gift Planning. He was also previously employed at Gardner-Webb as Assistant to the President. Earlier in his career he served as a Human Resource Manager for two large corporations before surrendering to the call of full-time ministry in 1985. He served as pastor of Sandy Plains Baptist Church in the Greater Cleveland County Association and served as supply and interim pastor of numerous churches.

David is a native of Cleveland County where he grew up on the family farm and was taught to read by reading the Bible. He now resides in Burke County with his wife Nancy. They have five children and five grandchildren. His business, pastoral, and educational background along with his specialized training makes him a valuable asset for Western North Carolina Baptists. His self-described passion is "helping individuals make the most of the blessings God has provided them in order to provide greater opportunities for people to come to know Jesus Christ as their savior."
