Biographical Info

Daryl joined The NC Baptist Foundation as the Eastern Area Manager in April, 2015. Daryl grew up in the home of a NC Baptist minister and lived in several areas in central and eastern NC. Although his family lived in several locations, Daryl will tell you that he grew up in Southport, NC. After high school, Daryl attended Campbell University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems. He began his professional career in the banking industry and worked for The Fidelity Bank. However, while at the bank he began to hear God’s clear call to full time ministry. In answering this call, Daryl has served local congregations for the past 18 years. During this time, Daryl served on staff at the Haymore Memorial Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, NC, as Minister of Youth and Education and at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina, NC, as Minister of Youth. Most recently, Daryl served as the Minister of Administration and Sr. Adults at FBC Wilmington, NC, before coming on staff here at the NC Baptist Foundation.

Daryl was ordained into Christian service by Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina in 2002. In that same year, Daryl received a Masters of Divinity degree from Campbell University School of Divinity. Daryl has served on the board of SERVE Management Group and served as an interim preacher at FBC Whiteville. Daryl is frequently a guest speaker at Sr. Adult retreats at the NC Baptist Assembly.

While Daryl earned degrees at Campbell University, he will tell you the best thing that happened to him at Campbell was that he met Dawn, whom he was married to in 1997. Daryl and Dawn reside in Leland, NC and have two children – Abby and Ethan. In addition to being with his family, for fun Daryl enjoys gardening, sports, fishing, and MLB baseball.

Daryl is excited to be a part of the NC Baptist Foundation Team and to be working with the Baptist churches of NC.
